The second season starts with a picture of the world still under the threat of aliens. The characters continue to fight for their survival. There are new alliances and new mysteries and hope to resist aliens and protect the world.
The second season was released on August 23, 2023, with ten episodes. There is an addition of new characters as well. They are Maya Castilo (scientist), Leo Malik (Leader of a large refugee camp), and Admiral Tatsuo Kaneko (Military leader).
Also, Omar Hassan ( former special forces person), Dr. Elena Petrova (psychologist), Father Paul (Priest), Sofia Reyes (Young hacker), and inspector Haruto Tanaka.

Episode 1
Episode 1 of the series starts with planet Earth facing a malicious danger from the aliens. The world government collaborated to form the World Defense Coalition to fight against the attack from the aliens. Mitsuki assists survivors in Japan where DharmaX takes her to a hidden facility where they start an investigation.
Aneesha Malik with her family are living in West America with a hidden identity. But, they encounter some danger from the ongoing events in the world.

Mitsuki continues her research and communication with the alien consciousness. However, the objective of the aliens remains unclear. But, Hinata’s childhood memory flashback, suggests that aliens don’t want to destroy humanity.
Jamila and her group arrive in Paris, but she starts to lose the connection with Caspar. And his presence becomes more mysterious.

In the starting scene, Rose and Trevante continue their investigation using Caspar’s drawings. By following the patterns of the drawing they find the locations where people were abducted. They travel to Ben Shelton’s farm where they find that the military is protecting something special.
Caspar’s drawing also reveals a giant blue hole at the center of this farm. On the other side, Aneesha and her group enter the military base secretly to search for Sarah. Clarks gather information about the base.
In this episode, Jamila and her group encounter Casper Marrow. Later he reveals that other socially gifted children at the hospital are experimented on and they can save the world from aliens.
Episode 8

Episode 9
In episode 9, Mitsuki awakens in a supernatural domain. Where a wall is emitting a blue light and creating a maze around her. Also, she hears Caspar’s voice, so she follows it.
She finally meets him and Caspar reveals that this strange realm connects to the alien mothership. This thing is accessible to only gifted people like Casper and her.
This leads to a revelation that where humans must strike next to counter the threat of aliens. Later on, Trevante is out of prison and he is bound up with Aneesha to find her daughter (Sarah).

What Happens in the Finale Episode of Invasion Season 2: Ending Explained
In the previous episode, Caspar leads Mitsuki to discover the alien Mothership. So, she continues her trial (mentally) not physically. She travels mentally to an alien mothership and finds it. On the same hand, she updates Maya about her findings & location.
Trevante continues his search in the military base and finally finds that there are zombie-like abductees. Later he found that Caspar was alive. He interrupts a meeting with Benya, General, and Caspar at the military base in Oklahoma.
Caspar had visited the alien mothership and is telling his findings to President Benya. Now, the WDC (World Defense Coalition ) decides to enter the mothership, and Trevante volunteers for the mission. To which President Benya hesitates.
Aneesha is captured so she decides to give the information of the practical uses of “Alien Shard” to negotiate to get back Sarah. Finally, she reunites with her. On the other hand, her son Luke, has telepathic abilities to neutralize the attacking aliens. He senses that aliens are approaching them & alerts the military camp.
In Invasion Season 2 Recap, we see Capar, Jamila, Monty, and other kids sitting in a circle and delivering telepathic daggers to kill the aliens.
President Benya orders Dr. Maya to send the Mitsuki through the portal and attack the hivemind of aliens from within. The Blue portal door is opened at the main strip of Oklahoma town by Caspar and Mitsuki with their telepathic connection with the alien consciousness.
This Portal door throws anyone who tries to approach it or harm it. In the next scene, Trevante is ready to combat and slowly makes his way with Alien’s shard to feel out the alien intentions.
He is joined by Caspar to war against aliens in the hivemind. It is an unexpected twist of Caspar joining Trevante and saying “Follow me”. But when he turns, Caspar’s eyes turn completely white and make an alien sound.
