In the previous part, it is known that Colin & Penelope are good friends. They live next to each other’s house. And Miss Penelope is “Lady Whistlewood“. Except Cressida (her best friend).

The series starts with Colin returning from abroad & everyone is happy on his arrival. Whereas, Penelope tries to stay away from him because of Colin’s past behavior towards her.
A New Character “Francesca” is introduced to the society. She is shy & loves to stay in a peaceful environment. Now, as everyone is growing up & things have changed. Penelope decides to change her style & undergoes a makeover.
Then, she went to a Danbury Ball, where she eventually got humiliated. Therefore, she left the ball. Later, Colin came to her & apologizes for his behavior. He even offered his help to make Penelope find a husband.
Now, He is helping her to navigate her social skills & increasing her interactions at the Ball. They practiced it together at Colin’s home. But, somehow Colin’s sister “Eloise” sees Penelope in their house & gets to know about the whole matter.
Later, Eloise told about the “Penelope” situation to everyone in the ball. Therefore, everyone again made fun of her. It makes her think that she can never find a suitable husband and will stay with her mother only.
Therefore, she asks Colin to kiss her as a favor. But, this kiss develops a stronger feeling & connection between them. However, they did not confess about their feeling to each other.
After a few days, Penelope thought that Colin was not going to love her more than a friend. So, decided to forget her feelings & search for a new man.
At the ball, she meets Lord Debling, who puts his interest in her & starts liking her. Meanwhile, the queen announces the “diamond of the season” & gives the title to Francesca.
Who will Penelope select? Colin or Lord Debling?
