• Chapter 1 – The Arrival of the new creature!

The new episode of season three begins in 1984 and shows us, Soviet scientists making attempts to open the Gate of an alternate dimension “The Upside Down”.

One year later, our leading characters Eleven & Mike Wheeler are developing romantic feelings for each other.

On the other side, Dustin, Max, & Will help Lucas set up a radio tower to help their friend contact his new girlfriend Suzie. But they instead intercept the Russian transmission.

• Chapter 2- The Breakup

In the second episode of Stranger Things season 3 recap we see Billy trying to escape the mill. When he sees, the horrifying creature induces a vision of an alternate dimension. Here, Billy meets a doppelganger.

Now, he is possessed and is guided by the creature to kidnap Heather (his fellow mate) and bring her to him.  Next, Mr. Hopper threatens Mike to stay away from Eleven. So after certain events, Eleven breaks up with him.  Meanwhile, Joyce experiences a strange loss of magnetism among the objects at her place.

Later, Dustin, Steve, & Robin group together to translate the Russian radio message & determine it is a CODE.

• Chapter 3 – The Russian Code

Now, in the starting scene of episode three, we see Eleven at Max’s house.  Here, she tries to spy on Lucas, Will, & Mike using power.

Even, she spies on Billy, to which she feels something suspicious. Later Eleven and Max discover that Miss Heather is missing from the town. Meanwhile, Nancy & Jonathan investigate that there is strange behavior among rats, & lots of fertilizers are missing too.

Later they discover that Mrs. Driscoll is eating fertilizer at her home.

Now, after some time Robin manages to decode the Russian code. It tells about a shipment arriving at Starcourt. Joyce is experiencing a strange loss of magnetism. She convinces Mr. Jim Hopper to investigate it in Hawkins’s lab.

During their investigation, Mr. Hopper is attacked by Grigori, a Russian soldier.

• Chapter 4 – Everyone is possessed!

In the fourth episode, it is revealed that Mind Flayer is still alive. Now, he is a creature composed of flesh from rats.

Even, he is successful in possessing Bill, Heather, and their parents as well.

As Heather’s father is possessed, he fires Nancy & Jonathan for harassing Mrs. Driscoll who is in the hospital. Therefore, Nancy visits to see her. Here, Nancy realizes that Mrs. Driscoll is possessed.

Meanwhile, Will Byers reveals to his friends that Billy is possessed through the Mind Flayer and that the monster is still alive. On the other side, the creature is possessing dozens of Hawkins people.

• Chapter 5 – The Flayer’s Army

In the Stranger Things Season 3 Recap,  we see that Mr. Hopper and Joyce search for abandoned properties. Later they discover a hidden laboratory.

Here, they are again attacked by the Russian soldiers. But, they manage to escape with a hostage i.e. Russian scientist “Alexei”.

At the starcourt, Dustin, Robin, & Steve watch Russian soldiers unloading crates. So, they hide and watch them. Later these friends find out that a group of scientists are trying to open “the Gate” to the upside down.

Now, Nancy, Jonathan, Lucas, Max, Eleven, and Mike, all group together and conclude that Billy is possessed. Also, the Mind Flayer possesses the ability to make an army.

• Chapter 6 – The Truth is revealed

So, Dustin and his friends are in the Russian lab. Here, Steve and Robin are captured by the guards and are interrogated by them.

Later, Dustin can rescue them.

Now, Hopper, Joyce takes Alexei to Mr. Murray. Because Murray is the only one who understands the Russian language. Here, Alexei reveals that scientists are making attempts to open “The Gate” at a portal beneath Starcourt.

Next, to find the monster, Eleven uses her powers to communicate with Billy. Later she finds that the Mind Flayer is at the Mill.

Now, it is revealed that the monster wants to kill Eleven because she closes the gate to the alternate dimension.

• Chapter 7 – Alert! Danger zone

The seventh episode is thrilling and adventurous to see. The Monster starts coming towards Eleven to kill her.

He attacks the whole group of friends with Eleven. She tries to protect her friends but is injured during the attack.

Later the group manages to escape from there. Then, they hide in the supermarket where the group tries to treat Eleven’s wounds. Now, Dustin who is at the starcourt beneath the laboratory hides with Steve and Robin at a movie theater.

Then, he tries to contact Mike to tell him the whole situation using a walkie-talkie.

So, eleven tries to find the location of Dustin. Also, Joyce & Hopper learns that Russian soldiers want to kill the children at the theater.

But, Eleven and her friends reach there on time and prevent the Russians from killing Dustin’s group. During this whole scene, she is in pain, and later she collapses.

• Chapter 8 – The FINALE: The Battle at the Starcourt

The eighth episode is the finale episode of the Stranger Things season 3 recap.

As Eleven collapses, she finds that a piece of Mind Flayer is stuck in her wounds. So, she rids herself from it.  Now, Mr. Hopper, Murray & Joyce arrive at the Starcourt Mall. They plan to save Eleven’s group so they make their way to escape.

But, Billy and the monsters trap Eleven’s group. But, Robin & Steve manage to save everyone except Eleven.  Now, Billy attacks Mike, Max, and Eleven and brings the girl to the creature. In the huge attack, everyone is injured including the Monster.

So, here, Eleven reminds the injured Billy of his mother and tries to free him from the possession of the monster.  Later, Billy sacrifices his life to protect the group.

Meanwhile, Joyce is forced to trigger an explosion at the Russian Lab to close the gate. This disintegrates the process and Mind Flayer’s body is destroyed. The star court is destroyed, and all deaths are covered. Even Eleven confesses her love to Mike as well.

In the closing scene of the episode, the Russian guards are feeding a prisoner. It is none other than Demogorgon.
