Meanwhile, Max Mayfield is attending therapy sessions to forget Billy Hargrove’s horrible death. Now, a new character is introduced, named “Chrissy” the captain of Hawkins school cheer squad. Chrissy is haunted by visions of her mother who is abusive to her.

While she is buying drugs from Eddie, she is possessed and is killed by a humanoid figure.

• Chapter 2- VECNA

In the opening scene of the second episode, it is revealed that Mr. Hopper can survive the explosion at the Starcourt.

But, he is sent to prison by the Russian soldiers. Now, in the present day, Joyce calls the number written on the hidden note that she receives from the Doll.

It is revealed that the number belongs to a Russian guard that Mr. Hopper is bribed to. Meanwhile, back in Hawkins, Max tells Dustin that she saw Eddie and Chrissy together before she died.

Now, the police are looking for Eddie. But, Dustin decides to find Eddie first. Then, with the help of Robin & Steve, they can locate him. Later, they explain the story of Upside Down to Eddie. Also, name the thing which kills Chrissy as “Vecna”.

• Chapter 3- Is Eleven Returning to Hawkins?

Here is the main story to catch up on in Stranger Things Season 4 Recap of Chapter 3. To help Mr. Hopper, Joyce & Murray fly to Alaska to deliver the ransom amount and bring him back.

There they find flickering lights that resemble the movement of creatures in the alternate dimension.

• Chapter 6- New Gate to Upside Down!

Currently, in Nevada, Eleven is recovering her old memories. Even, she sees her younger self when she sees that she is responsible for the lab massacre.

Meanwhile, Mike is having a pen via the Harmon. So, he takes Suzie’s help to locate the NINA project location. In Russia, Mr. Hopper and some other people are announcing to feed to Demogorgon.

So, he manages to pick a lighter from someone recalling that Demogorgon is afraid of fire.

In the later scene, Dustin notices something wrong is going on with his compass. To this, he realizes that there is a new gate to the upside down.

So, they follow the compass and trace “the new gate” at Lover’s Lake.

• Chapter 7- Subject 001 & The Lab Massacre

But, later comes to know that she is not responsible for the lab’s massacre! In Russia, Joyce & Murray can enter the prison with the help of Yuri.  Here, they see Mr. Jim and fellow prisoners fighting with Demogorgon.

Later, with the help of Joyce, Hopper can escape from the prison.

Meanwhile, it is revealed that “Henry” is a boy with supernatural powers and is subject one (001) in Dr. Brenner’s experiments. Also, Eleven remembers that “001” is responsible for the lab massacre.

Moreover, she is the one who sends 001 to the Upside down, where he becomes VECNA.

• Chapter 8- The danger is not over yet

• Chapter 9- The Finale episode

In the final episode of Stranger Things Season 4 recap, Nancy & her group make a plan to attack the bat-like creature Vecna.

Whereas, Eleven, Mike & his group are in California. They realize they cannot reach Hawkins on time.

So, they create an isolation tank for eleven. Then, Eleven enters Max’s mind to fight against the creature. But, unfortunately, Max dies as “VECNA” owning full control over the alternate dimension.

In Russia, Joyce, Hopper attempts to kill the remaining monster in the container. This in turn weakens the VECNA as well.

Meanwhile, Nancy, Robin & Steve shoot the creature and kill him. Eleven tries to restart Max’s heartbeat which later opens the creature gate. So, technically “Max” is alive but remains in a state of Coma, loss of vision, and all of her bones are broken.

In the end, everyone is reunited but “Will” senses that the “creature” is still alive.
